This SECOND NEW COLLECTION is born from the meeting of 2 materials and a black dress: I had the desire to work again with sea glass* on one side and to do some work with chains on the other side. And I received a small black dress from a (really, really) good friend of mine: Bénédicte. The dress transported me, together with these 2 materials, directly to the Années Folles, the carefree and effervescent period -for a part of the occidental population- between the 2 world wars.
So I continued the work the sea already started on what is initially a piece of trash: broken glass. By polishing it long and patiently, she transforms it into a gem. I then add some chains to create a joyous bling bling side.
Hopefully this collection will give us the same capacity to transform wasteful objects or moments to joyful and sparkling ones, to inherit the effervescent spirit from the 20’s, but more consciously this time.
And that’s the CONSCIOUS BLING BLING COLLECTION (or BENE’s DRESS one!)
